Step 3 Print the Letters & The Envelopes

Printing the letters was simple by using a mail merge with a table of the casinos I made in Excel. The table was originally created for another project that went bust.

87 Sheets of paper later I have my list. I also hand signed each one of them, and mentioned www.judgevegas.com at the very bottom. I contemplated using a fancy letter head and paper but the truth is we are not a business, so a simple mention at the bottom of the page should suffice.

A co-worker suggested I print labels instead of printing labels. That will be tomorrows project.

Step 2 Write The Letter

Writing the letter to the casino was easy. I basically introduced myself, explained how long I've lived in Las Vegas. I commented on how much I love Nevada and the casinos, and I made a request to send me promotional items. Short, simple, and to the point.

Step 1 Get A List Of Casinos

The first step of this experiment is to compile the list of casinos. We originally had a list of about 90 properties, but many of them were closed or renamed (The Frontier, and The Aladdin come to mind.)

After editing the list and addint properties in Laughlin and Mesquite Nevada, we now have 82 complete with their addresses.
