MGM-MIRAGE - Not Generous

Today I received a generic post card from the MGM-Mirage. It says:

MGM MIRAGE
Charitable Giving Program
Thank you for your request for support from
MGM MIRAGE.

Each year, we receive many requests from individuals seeking support for their specific needs. While all of these requests have merit and are deserving of attention, our company's policy is to provide assistance where it will have the broadest impact on our community. In light of this commitment, we regret that MGM MIRAGE cannot contribute to your request.

Additionally, MGM MIRAGE does not support:

• Requests with fall outside of communities in which our employees live, work and support their families
• Requests for any type of gaming items (new or previously used for children
• Organizations that discriminate by race, color, greed, gender, sexual orientation, physical disability, or national origin
• Grants or sponsorships to individuals
• Athletic sponsorships of individuals or teams

While we are unable to participate in your request, we sincerely wish you the best of success.

This is a terrible failure on the part of the MGM MIRAGE. Unlike Binions who read the letter and provided promotional items from their hotel it seems the MGM MIRAGE simply has a stone cold reply. I'm going to assume that its also a no for the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Treasure Island, Monte Carlo, New-York New-York, Luxor, Excalibur, Boardwalk (which has been gone for years but is still labeled on the card), Circus Circus, Railroad Pass, Primm Valley Resorts, Silver Legacy. They even mention The Colorado Belle and the Edgewater - two properties in Laughlin which they are no longer apart of (at least thats what I'm led to understand.)

Regardless its a shame that this was MGM-MIRAGE's response. So I guess I'll have to say they are not generous at all.
