The Cannery Is Generous

I received a huge package from The Cannery on Thursday last week. Inside were 7 dice, two packs of playing cards, two pens, and 4 (four!) buffet tickets. We used the tickets Friday night. The total would have been about $50 for the four of us.

Though The Cannery was slow to respond, they did respond in kind, so I can only say that The Cannery is generous! The MGM should be ashamed.

Binion's Hotel and Gambling Hall Is Generous

Just when I was going to announce the Las Vegas Experiment as a complete failure, the fabulous Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel pulled through.

On March 6th, 2008 I found a small manila envelope in my mailbox. Inside, there was a hand written note that said:

Mr. Salzman

Thank you for your interest in items from our hotel. We definitely strive to provide the best for all of our hotel guests.

Although this is not much, here are a few items we thought you may enjoy!

In addition, there was a deck of playing cards, a pair of very cool purple colored dice, a pen, a book of matches, and a hotel key, all blazoned with “Binion’s” on them. It’s common to find these items in the gift shops of the hotels, but the fact that they sent them with a very nice handwritten note is awesome.

So is Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel generous? Well, if this is any indication of their hospitality I’d have to say hell yes!
